The problem with an alarm is that it is indiscriminate. You are the one who has to be up at half past five, but it goes off in a room with someone who does not, and within a week you are the reason they are tired too. So you creep about, set it to the quietest setting you dare, and then sleep badly because you are half worried you will miss it.
The GentleWake™ VibraPulse Silent Wake-Up Band moves the alarm from the room to your wrist. It vibrates against your skin instead of making a sound, which wakes you properly without reaching anyone else in the bed, the hotel room, the dorm or the shared house. The band is soft silicone and adjusts to most wrists, so it is comfortable enough to actually sleep in, and the digital display means you can check the time at two in the morning without lighting up the whole room with a phone. And at the moment, it’s going for half price.
It charges by USB from a phone charger or a laptop, so there is nothing unusual to pack, and it is small enough to disappear into a pocket. The GentleWake™ VibraPulse Silent Wake-Up Band is the answer for anyone who gets up earlier than the people they live with. Delivery is free right across Australia and you have a full month to try it, so there’s nothing to lose!

How does GentleWake wake me without waking anyone else?
The band sits on your wrist and wakes you with a silent vibration against your skin instead of a loud sound. Because the buzz stays on your wrist, only you feel it, so your partner, kids and dog keep sleeping. You set the time you want, and the band does the rest quietly. It replaces the shared disturbance of a phone alarm with a personal one.
Will the vibration actually wake me if I'm a heavy sleeper?
Yes. A steady vibration held right against your wrist is hard to sleep through, which is why many heavy sleepers wake to it when they've learned to ignore their phone. You can adjust the strength to suit you, so it's firm enough to rouse you without being harsh. Most people find they no longer need three back-up alarms once they trust it.
Is it comfortable to wear on my wrist overnight?
The band is lightweight and soft against the skin so you can wear it through the night without it digging in. It's designed to feel like a slim watch rather than a bulky gadget, and most people forget it's there within a few nights. If you find it uncomfortable, you can loosen the fit, and you're covered by the 30-day trial regardless.
Can I use it when I travel or stay in hotels?
Yes, and it's one of the main reasons people love it. Instead of relying on a rubbish hotel clock or a phone alarm you might mute in your sleep, you wear the band and trust it to wake you wherever you are. It travels light and works the same in a hotel room as it does at home, so you stop lying awake paranoid about missing a flight.
How soon will I notice a calmer morning?
Most people feel the difference on the very first morning, because being woken gently instead of by a blaring noise changes how the whole day starts. Instead of jolting awake behind and cranky, you rise on your own terms with time to yourself. Give it a week and it often becomes the part of your routine you'd least want to give up.
Do I need my phone nearby for it to work?
No, the band wakes you on its own, so you don't need to keep your phone on the bedside table if you'd rather leave it across the room. That means one fewer glowing screen in reach and one fewer reason to scroll before bed. You simply set your wake time on the band and wear it to sleep. It does its job independently.
